THE JAPANESE WAY

概要：

The traditional Japanese way of life, as commonly expressed in the character of do-michi, seems to be highly artistic from a Western point of view, according to the modern idea of "Art for Art's sake", but it is deeply ethical, as so many forms of the one Way or Tao. Originally they were much influenced by Zen Buddhism, yet they are not necessarily religious, but secular in such a way as to appeal to other forms of religion or none at all.
